You know you are someone special at Mulligan’s Raw Bar & Grille as soon as you walk in the door of the restaurant.  Our friendly and efficient staff creates that easy going Outer Banks feeling that visitors look forward to year after year.  The Owner, Gus Zinovis, is always around to meet and greet new customers and those old friends that come in two or three times for a week every summer.  He never forgets a face or a friend.

Gus Decided to move the Restaurant from the old oceanfront location to the new location at milepost 13 on the Outer Banks in 2006.  He and the Staff have never looked back.  The new location is across from Jockey’s Ridge State Park and has fabulous views of the sunset over the sand dunes.  The upstairs bar and dining room over look the Atlantic Ocean and the old original cottages of the Nags Head historic district.  The new restaurant on the Outer Banks has much more room, and an updated look and an updated menu.

The menu still has “The Best Burger on the Outer Banks” and you can still get it cooked anyway you want.  You can also get the topping of your choice.  The most popular burger for both locals and visitors alike is by far the “Mulligan Burger”, topped with local crab meat and crisp bacon.  It is definitely “Award Winning”.  The new raw bar menu is one of the best on the Outer Banks.  Featuring local oysters and clams offered steamed or raw all year round.  Fresh Steamed shrimp and crab legs or any combination of all of these is also offered.  The new menu also offers an array of seafood platters, hand-cut steaks and pasta dishes.  The kid’s will love to color our kids’ menu and the parents will love that all kid’s meals are $4.99!  There is truly something for everyone!  Don’t forget to try the coconut shrimp with our homemade raspberry habanero sauce as either an appetizer or an entrée because it is a Mulligan’s original on the Outer Banks.

The new location has four separate dining rooms to accommodate large parties of up to sixty people.  Reserve a room for dinner on the second floor and stick around to enjoy karaoke with “The Shy Guy” Wednesday through Saturday, starting at 9pm.  Our Texas Hold’em Tournament begins around 8pm every Tuesday (call for details) on the 2nd floor.

Mulligan’s on the Outer Banks is open 365 days a year and has truly established itself as the favorite Outer Banks local’s restaurant.  The food and the atmosphere scream old Nags Head.  If you don’t believe us, just ask any one of the locals hanging out at Mulligan’s on the Outer Banks.
